The Kamloops Develoment Centre was a very successful undertaking again this year.
The program is designed for mini-soccer age players who seek extra coaching in a structured
setting where they have a chance to polish their skills under the direction of KYSA staff coaches.
This year, the KDC was broken into two seperate, six-week sessions. One pre-Chrismas (November/December),
and one in the New Year (January and February).
The sessions ran Saturday mornings at Aberdeen Elementary School.
The 2009-2010 KDC Program, largely under the supervision of KYSA staff coach Larry Read, was open to players born in 2002 through 2005 (U-5 to U-10).
The main emphasis in all the KDC training sessions is on fun, while learning the rudiments of the game.
The KDC will be offered again toward the end of 2010, through the winter months.
Space is usually limited, due to its popularity, so early registration is advised.
Check the KYSA web site in the fall for program and registration details.
